Vendor/Contractor Relations

New Hanover Regional Medical Center is committed to providing the highest quality service and conducting its business activities honestly, ethically and in full compliance with all federal, state and local laws and regulations.  In order to live up to this commitment, NHRMC has set forth below general principles and rules, through its Code of Conduct, to be followed by all of its Board of Trustees, physicians, employees, volunteers, vendors, contractors and other agents.

Beginning April 1, 2009, you will need to be certified through Status-Blue in order to conduct business with New Hanover Regional Medical Center and Cape Fear Hospital.

You must sign-in at the appropriate kiosk and vendor sign-in location within each New Hanover Regional Medical Center and Cape Fear Hospital at each visit and wear the Status-Blue badge every time.

You are required to have a pre-arranged appointment with an individual (not a department) who has agreed to meet with you.  You are not allowed to cold call via telephone or in person.

For Pharmaceutical Representatives Only

Beginning January 1, 2010 New Hanover Regional Medical Center (NHRMC) has implemented a new Pharmaceutical Representative Policy. This policy outlines the standards of behavior expected by pharmaceutical representa tives doing business with NHRMC. This policy mandates that all appointments be pre-approved by the Pharmacy Department and contains a list of restricted areas and topics.

A copy of this policy, along with a policy acknowledgement form indicating that you have read and are familiar with this policy, has also been uploaded to Status Blue. This policy acknowledgement form must be completed, signed and returned to Status Blue before you can continue doing business on the campus of NHRMC.
